Terms for using MET — My Expense Tracker.
Effective date: October 29, 2026 · Last updated: October 29, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of MET — My Expense Tracker (“MET,” the “app,” or the “service”), developed by Aman Junaid (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By installing or using MET, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What MET does
MET provides tools to record and organize financial transactions, review summaries and insights, plan budgets and scheduled payments, and use optional integrations. Features may change, vary by version, or depend on your device and settings.
Your records and responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of information you enter, import, or approve. Review transactions, SMS-derived entries, spreadsheet imports, backups, and AI-generated answers before relying on them. Keep your own backups and protect access to your device and exported files.
Not financial advice
MET is an organizational tool. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and its summaries or AI responses are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. Do not rely on MET alone for payment, tax, investment, or other consequential decisions.
Optional services
Google sign-in, Google Sheets, backups, SMS processing, analytics, and AI features may rely on third-party services. Your use of those features may also be subject to the provider’s terms and privacy policy. You are responsible for permissions and data you choose to share with them.
Acceptable use
You may use MET for lawful personal purposes. Do not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access to connected services, or use it in a way that violates applicable law or another person’s rights.
Intellectual property
MET and its associated branding, software, and content are owned by their respective rights holders and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership to you.
Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of MET to maintain or improve the app, address security or legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice where required by applicable law.
Disclaimer and limitation
To the extent permitted by applicable law, MET is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app, reliance on its output, loss of device data, or interruption of a third-party service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Ending use
You may stop using MET at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling may remove locally stored app data; make a backup first if you want to keep your records. Information held by third-party providers is governed by their own retention practices.
Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms as MET changes. The updated version and effective date will be published on this page. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the developer resides, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. For questions, contact amaan.wamiq@gmail.com.
